Helmerich & Payne appointed Mark W. Smith as chief financial officer to succeed Juan Pablo Tardio upon his retirement on June 30. Smith served in various leadership roles at Atwood Oceanics, an offshore drilling contractor, most recently as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
