ONE Gas Inc. announced Robert S. McAnnally has been named president and CEO and joined the company’s board of directors, succeeding Pierce H. Norton II, who is now president and CEO of ONEOK Inc. McAnnally has been with ONE Gas for six years, initially as senior vice president of Operations.

Dinan

The company also announced that Curtis L. Dinan, senior vice president and chief commercial officer, was named senior vice president and chief operating officer. He assumed responsibilities for Operations and Safety in addition to his continuing oversight of commercial activities, Rates and Regulatory, Government Affairs, Community Relations and Customer Service.

Michael Garberding has been named chief financial officer at EPIC Midstream Holdings. Prior to joining EPIC, Garberding served as the co-founder and co-CEO of AABA Energy, a midstream start-up, and as president and CEO of Enlink Midstream. Prior to his role as Enlink’s CEO, Garberding served as Enlink’s executive vice president and CFO. He held several positions with Enlink’s predecessor, Crosstex Energy, including senior vice president of Business Development and Finance. Prior to joining Crosstex in 2008, Mr. Garberding was Assistant Treasurer at TXU Corp and worked as a finance manager for Enron North America.  

Chandler

Williams announced that John Chandler, senior vice president and chief financial officer, will retire March 31. Chandler assumed his current role in September 2017, overseeing all financial aspects for the company. Prior to rejoining Williams in 2017, he served as chief financial officer of Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. beginning that role in 2002 in advance of Magellan’s spinoff from Williams in 2003. He retired from Magellan in 2014. Efforts are underway to identify a successor, and Chandler will be engaged in that process, Williams said.

New Jersey Natural Gas, the principal subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, announced that John Wyckoff has succeeded Craig Lynch as vice president, Energy Delivery, following Lynch’s retirement. Wyckoff has assumed responsibility for all field operations, engineering and system enhancements while leading the continued expansion and maintenance of the company’s distribution and transmission pipelines. In addition, Kraig Sanders was promoted to a newly expanded role of vice president, Operations.

International law firm Pinsent Masons has appointed Bruce Craig to join its oil and gas team in Aberdeen, where he will head up the firm’s litigation and regulatory practice in Europe’s oil capital, focusing on contentious issues in the oil and gas, shipping and other sectors. He was formerly managing partner of niche law firm Mackinnons, where he was a partner from 1993. His appointment follows the recent addition to Pinsent Masons’ energy team of Paul McGoldrick and four other oil and gas specialists from Bond Dickinson, and the appointment of Osama Hassan, specializing in the Middle East energy sector.

PG&E Corporation announced the appointment of Carla J. Peterman as executive vice president, Corporate Affairs, with responsibility for developing and implementing strategies for all aspects of corporate affairs, including regulatory, government relations, public policy and charitable giving. Peterson joins P&GE from Southern California Edison, where she served as senior vice president, Strategy and Regulatory Affairs. Margaret K. Becker was also named vice president and treasurer of both the corporation and Pacific Gas & Electric Company, and Christopher M. Patterson was appointed vice president, State Legislative Affairs, of the utility.

Heidi Burke has been promoted to account executive within the Environmental and Construction Professional (ECP) Practice of RT Specialty. Burke joined the team in 2014 and has since played an instrumental role in the development and management of the company’s professional liability, environmental, property and casualty lines of business. She previously spent nearly 20 years at insurance companies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Zsoka Taylor McDonald has been appointed the first chief sustainability officer and senior vice president of corporate communications at AVANGRID. She will focus on accelerating the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable value through environmental, social and governance commitments and financial strength.  

Frenzel

Xcel Energy appointed Bob Frenzel as president and CEO, and Tim O’Connor has been named executive vice president and chief operations officer. Frenzel joined Xcel Energy as chief financial officer in 2016, leading the company’s finance, tax, accounting and corporate development functions, as well as its subsidiary companies. He was named president and chief operating officer in March 2020, where he oversaw Xcel Energy’s four operating companies, along with its transmission, distribution and natural gas operations.

O'Connor
O'Connor

O’Connor has served as Xcel Energy’s executive vice president and chief generation officer since 2020 and will now oversee nuclear generation, energy supply, supply chain, commercial operations, distribution, transmission and the company’s natural gas business.

Fowke

 Ben Fowke, the current chairman and CEO will remain at Xcel Energy as executive chairman of the board of directors.  

NuStar Energy added Ed Grier and Martin Salinas, Jr. to its board of directors and the retirement of James “Fully” Clingman, Jr. from the board. Grier has served as the Dean of the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University in California since July 2021. Salinas served as CEO of Phase 4 Energy Partners and as chief financial officer of Energy Transfer Partners. He also was a director of Green Plains Partners and Noble Midstream Partners. Clingman became a director of NuStar GP in 2018 after serving as a director of NuStar GP Holdings since 2006.
