Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation Elects New Directors
Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation has elected Amanda M. Brock and Marcus A. Watts to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Since 2009, Brock has been the Chief Executive Officer of Water Standard, a water treatment company focused on water-based enhanced oil recovery, recycling and reuse of water and produced water treatment. Brock is also working with Solaris Midstream, which is developing integrated water infrastructure systems and midstream assets in key oil and gas basins in the United States. Previously, Brock served as Executive Director and President, Americas, of Azurix, a global water treatment and services company, from 1999-2002. Prior to that, she worked for Enron Corp. in various capacities beginning in 1991, including President of a division responsible for the management of power plants, related assets and joint ventures worldwide. Brock has received numerous professional awards, including being named one of the top 25 people globally in water and wastewater in 2016 by Water and Wastewater International and as a Houston Bar Journal honoree for Women in Energy in 2016. Brock has a law degree from Louisiana State University, where she was also recognized as an under 40 Alumni, and began her career as an attorney for the law firm of Vinson & Elkins.
Watts is President of The Friedkin Group, an umbrella company overseeing various business interests that are principally automotive-related, including a wholesale distributor of Toyota vehicles and products. Prior to joining The Friedkin Group, Watts was an attorney with the international law firm of Locke Lord LLP, with over 26 years of experience in corporate and securities law, governance and related matters. Watts also served as the Managing Partner of the Houston, Texas office and Vice-Chairman of the firm-wide Executive Committee. Before that, Watts served as a director of Complete Production Services until its merger with Superior Energy Services in 2012 and currently serves on the Board of directors of Service Corporation International. Watts holds a law degree from Harvard Law School and a B.S. degree from Texas A&M University.
