INGAA Names New Vice President of Government Affairs

(P&GJ) — The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) announced that Christopher “C.J.” Osman has been appointed vice president of Government Affairs, a critical role in its advocacy efforts.

C.J. Osman

A four-year INGAA veteran, Osman previously served as vice president of Operations, Safety and Integrity.  In that role, he directed the association’s efforts to promote sound federal safety policy for the operations of interstate natural gas pipelines and storage facilities.

In his new role, INGAA said, Osman will lead the association’s government and political affairs efforts to advance key policy priorities, including "conveying the critical role natural gas infrastructure plays in our nation’s energy economy; encouraging enhanced infrastructure permitting predictability; and advocating for pipeline safety and environmental rules that embrace modern technologies and innovation."

In a statement, Osman said: “I am honored to take on this new role at INGAA and grateful for the opportunity to work with our members and stakeholders to advance smart public policy that ensures energy infrastructure is built responsibly and successfully.

“It is an exciting time in Washington, and I look forward to working with policymakers on both sides of the aisle to advance commonsense legislation that promotes U.S. energy infrastructure investment and innovation, such as the pending pipeline safety reauthorization bill.”

Prior to joining INGAA in 2016, Osman managed engineering and construction of onshore natural gas production and processing facilities for a large integrated energy company.

He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and a B.E. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, both from Vanderbilt University, and is studying law at Georgetown University.
