Gulfstream Services Completes Decommissioning In North Sea

Gulfstream Services Inc. completed two decommissioning contracts with major oil and gas service companies, Helix Well Ops UK and Dof Subsea.

The Helix contract was part of the BP North West Hutton decommissioning project where GSI tools were used to remove 10-inch and 20-inch pipelines from the seabed. Both projects were carried out in the North Sea over a three- and two-week periods.

GSI equipment was also used by Dof Subsea for the cutting and recovering of items on a North Sea platform, including a 6-inch pipeline, concrete mattresses, clump weights and various small steel structures. After the assignment it was reported that the work caused no downtime.
