EIA Veteran to Lead Energy Ventures Analysis' Natural Gas and Petroleum Practice

Michael Schaal, former Director of the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) Office of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Analysis, is joining Energy Ventures Analysis, Inc. to lead the company’s Natural Gas and Petroleum practice.
Over his 30-year career, Schaal has gained extensive experience in analyzing and modeling natural gas and petroleum markets. At EIA, Schaal led a number of important studies that helped inform market activity and national policymaking including the effects of natural gas and crude oil production and exports, biofuels mandates, and other topics. He also led natural gas and petroleum analysis and forecasting for such well known products as the Annual Energy Outlook, the Short Term Energy Outlook, Natural Gas Weekly Update, and Today in Energy.
