Miller Electric
Miller Electric offers a technology designed to provide a more reactive arc and greater control in stick welding on transmission pipelines. Dynamic DIG technology is available on Miller Big Blue engine drives, including the Big Blue 400 PipePro welder/generator.
Dynamic DIG automatically adjusts the amount of current required to clear a short, giving welders the ability to pre-set current and maintain even heat throughout a full day of welding. This alleviates the problem of the current dropping throughout the day.
The technology allows arc characteristics to be optimized for the fill and cap passes to put down more weld metal, so welds can be completed faster. This allows greater fine-tuning of the arc.
