What's New August 2022

Sensiron

Sensiron added digital automotive sensor SHT4xA to its established range of humidity and temperature sensors. With its integrated diagnostic capability, AEC-Q100 product qualification, optional wettable flanks and low annual drift, the SHT4xA sets the highest standards for demanding applications.

The SHT4xA is based on Sensiron’s CMOSens Technology and 20 years of experience in humidity measurement. The sensor was developed specifically for automotive applications and meets the demanding reliability requirements, such as accelerated lifetime tests at 185°F (85°C)/85% relative humidity (RH). In addition, an integrated heater enables chip self-diagnostics throughout its operating life. Accuracy tolerances as low as to ±2% RH and ±0.2°C are achieved over the full measurement range of 0% RH to 100% RH and from -40°F to 257 °F (-40°C to 125°C). www.sensiron.com

Sick, ERC

With a key partnership between Sick and Eagle Research Corporation (ERC), a new remote data collection solution is available for the U.S. market using the FLOWSIC500 ultrasonic gas flow meter. This new device allows for remote access to meter integrity data and gas flow information. ERC is an independently owned, automation and telemetry solutions provider, focused on industrial and natural gas applications.

This new partnership pairs the FLOWSIC500 with ERC’s 9040500USM cellular monitoring device. The ERC 9040500USM integrates with any SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system or third-party polling engine to access flow information and meter health data using standard LTE (long-term evolution) cellular-based communication protocols. Product specifications include LTE communications via AT&T or Verizon and ultra-low power consumption; input power of 5-30 VDC, MODBUS and RS-485 compatible; MiMo puck antenna for tamper resistance; and polycarbonate 8-by-6-inch enclosure pole or wall mount. www.sick.com

Polygon

Polygon offers composite tubes and bearings that meet the high-pressure conditions and toughest design challenges in the oil and gas industry.

Applications for the high-performance composites include exploration sensor housings, valves, platform cranes and sheaves, actuators, blow-out preventers, pumps, top drives, drill components and draw works. The composites and component resins can withstand the high temperatures to which oil and gas technologies are frequently subjected. The composite bearings and tubing are highly machinable and ensure the easiest possible drill-outs, ensuring efficiency in production and in the field. www.polygoncomposites.com

Netzsch Nemo

Netzsch offers advanced technology for LACT and other midstream and downstream pumping applications.

Nemo Progressing Cavity Pumps are modular systems that handle a wide range of hydrocarbons with a constant, low-pulsating flow that ensures accurate flow readings. Notos 3NS multiple screw pumps is the next generation in LACT pipeline booster pump technology with efficient operation, small footprint and easy serviceability. Additionally, the pumps solve a wide range of applications and solids control, with high-power density, small space requirements and the ability to convey almost any substance continuously and gently while metering in proportion to rotation speed. www.pumps.netzsch.com

Vermeer

Vermeer expanded its horizontal directional drilling (HDD) fluid management equipment line with the new R600T reclaimer.

The new 600-gallons/minute (2,271.3-liters/minute) mud recycling system can pair with maxi-rigs pumping between 300 and 600 gallons/minute (1,136 and 2,271 liters/minute) on pipeline and other large-diameter installation projects. The R600T features a redesigned linear-motion shaker deck to help reduce weight, increase the available G-force and extend screen life, as well as several other performance and serviceability-enhancing features. The three-tank (scalped, middle and clean) R600T reclaimer has a total fluid capacity of 7,729 gallons (29,257.4 liters) and can process 1,100 gallons/minute (4,163.9 liters/minute) of drilling slurry for a true cleaning capacity suited for HDD projects in the 600-gallons/minute range. www.vermeer.com

Esco Tool

Esco Tool offers a portable, inner-diameter clamping pipe beveller with a variable-speed electric motor for use on-site.

The Prepzilla Millhog Clamping End Prep Tool features an electric motor with increased power and variable speeds from 9 to 31 rpm for continuous use and faster beveling. Equipped with a three-blade holder that can bevel any angle, face and bore simultaneously, the tool can produce precision end preps on hard stainless steels and highly alloyed pipe. It only requires one mandrel and eight sets of clamps for its entire range. The tool is designed for pipe ranging from a 1.575-inch (40-mm) inner diameter (ID) to an 8.62-inch (219-mm) outer diameter (OD). It has motor specifications of 230 V, 3.08 hp (2,300 W), 50 to 60 Hz, and it has dual-opposed tapered roller bearings to support the motor. www.escotool.com
