Axess-Corrosion
Axess-Corrosion is integrating its RANGER cellular transmitter in a new pipeline corrosion monitoring solution, which combines the RANGER IoT transmitter with a sacrificial sensing probe, to provide data and alarms on pipeline corrosion levels.
The probe can detect erosion of the membrane as finite as 0.0001. By measuring depletion rate, the probe provides feedback on the predicted rate of corrosion on the pipeline wall. The sensor uses the latest cellular LTE CAT M1, with MQTT/SparkPlugB technology for remote locations.
The battery-powered RANGER cellular transmitter powers the corrosion sensors, then gathers and transmits data from the sacrificial probe to the cloud for remote monitoring control. www.axess.energy
Volvo
Volvo Construction Equipment is bringing two new compact excavators to North America — the 3.5-ton EC37 and the 4-ton ECR40 — with features that provide increased operator comfort, 10% more fuel efficiency, better stability and easier maintenance.
These models replace the EC35D, ECR35D and ECR40D. This duo shares the same platform and components, though the EC37 excavator has a conventional upper carriage design and the ECR40 excavator has a short swing radius, to allow for work in more confined spaces.
Both models are available for now, with deliveries expected to start in the first quarter. The EC37 and ECR40 include a new elongated undercarriage. Optional features include a float blade and LED work lights. www.volvo.com
Denios-US
Denios-US introduced the RuptureSeal family of leak stopping devices, which are deployed in seconds to form a secure mechanical seal that stops leaks for hours. The technology is fully functional in 20 seconds, available in four sizes and compatible with over 40,000 substances.
With full fuel and chemical compatibility and an operating range of -16°F (-50°C) to 122°F (50°C), the devices are ideal for use in chemical and oil and gas production sites, where pipe leaks can occur.
The seals provide protection for 10 hours, until a permanent fix can be made. Sizes range from 1/8-inch to 2 inches by 6 inches. www.Denios-us.com
Dekotec
With Fortide, Dekotec GmbH expands its product range with high-performance epoxy coatings.
The new products, as liquid two-component epoxy-based systems, provide both exceptional corrosion protection and — at the same time — mechanical resistance for a wide range of applications.
This includes applications under tough conditions (e.g., for use at high operating temperatures up to +150 degrees C, or +302 degrees F), for moist surfaces or as internal coatings for tanks or pipelines. All Fortide systems comply with the international standard ISO 21809-3. www.ekotec.com
OleumTech
OleumTech introduced the new Multivariable (MVS) Transmitter to its H Series hardwired process instrumentation product line.
Specifically designed to seamlessly integrate with popular third-party flow computers, the transmitter ensures precise, dependable and continuous flow measurement for mission-critical industrial applications.
The newly launched OleumTech Multivariable Transmitter features both differential pressure (DP) and static absolute pressure (SP). Additionally, it offers an external 4-wire RTD input for accurate temperature measurement. Users have the flexibility of incorporating OleumTech’s HW5000-RTD Temperature Probe Assembly with a 10-foot braided, stainless steel cable or any other PT100 RTD sensor compatible with the MVS Transmitter.
A list of features includes the following: differential (DP) and static absolute (SP) pressure types, measurement range of DP: 25 to 4000 in H2O, reference accuracy of DP: ± 0.075 % F.S and SP: ± 0.05 % F.S and stability: ± 0.2 % URL over five years. www.oleuntech.com
Vermeer
Vermeer expanded its horizontal directional drilling (HDD) fluid management equipment line with the new R600T reclaimer.
The new 600-gallon/minute (2,271.3-liters/minute) mud recycling system can pair with maxi-rigs pumping between 300 and 600 gallons/minute (1,136 and 2,271 liters/minute) on pipeline and other large-diameter installation projects.
The R600T features a redesigned linear-motion shaker deck to help reduce weight, increase the available G-force and extend screen life, and it also includes several other performance and serviceability-enhancing features.
The three-tank (scalped, middle and clean) R600T reclaimer has a total fluid capacity of 7,729 gallons (29,257.4 liters) and can process 1,100 gallons/minute (4,163.9 liters/minute) of drilling slurry, for a true cleaning capacity suited for HDD projects in the 600-gallons/minute range. www.vermeer.com
Dinkle
Dinkle International added to its 0229 Series portfolio of connectors used for pluggable connectivity, between wires for inline splicing and wires to printed circuit boards (PCBs).
The compact units are designed for installation in constrained spaces and are available in mating plug designs, with various pin counts of up to 40 poles. The connectors work with wire sizes from 28 AWG to 14 AWG, as well as solid or stranded conductors.
In addition, Dinkle’s spring cage is easily operated, using press-to-release tabs, so users can install and remove any solid or stranded wires as needed without tools. Contact surfaces are wide, ensuring reliable operation at up to 300 V and 12 A (UL). The connectors are compliant with UL 1059 and IEC 61984. www.dinkle.com/en
