Utzman 

Takeuchi-US named Scott Utzman as its attachment specialist. In this role, he will be responsible for attachment sales and support for the company’s dealer and national rental accounts throughout North America. Utzman will work with dealer management, sales personnel and their customers to demonstrate, promote and support the Takeuchi attachment product line. Utzman will also train dealer sales personnel on attachment features, benefits and applications.  

Wheel
J. J. Keller & Associates, a safety and regulatory compliance solutions company, appointed of Tony Wheel as the company's new executive vice president of Manufacturing & Supply Chain. Wheel officially joined the organization March 1, 2024, succeeding Tim Little, who will retire on July 1, 2024. Wheel has over 16 years of leadership and was previously with Oshkosh Corporation.

Grant 

McElroy, designer and manufacturer of thermoplastic fusion equipment, announced the arrival of Michael Grant as the company’s new vice president of Operations. After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in mechanical design technology, he received an MBA from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. Grant began his career with Texas Instruments, developing CNC programs for Department of Defense machined components. 

Cruz 

Paradigm Group appointed Herwin Cruz as regional VP for Latin America covering drilling, well intervention, production enhancement and fire protection services. The promotion comes in coordination with the approach to Herwin’s 10th year at Paradigm Mexico. Herwin will oversee advancing technical sales and business development in the region. 


Companies 

CRC Evans, a provider of welding and coating services, completed work on a Romanian hydrogen pipeline project, enhancing the company’s presence in the hydrogen sector. The company’s team was instrumental in delivering more than 5,100 mainline welds across a 31-mile (50-km) pipeline in the Podisor region of the Black Sea, comprising both 40-inch and 48-inch pipe sections, at a 12.5-mm wall thickness. 

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions began production at its first manufacturing facility in Vietnam, an advanced 86,000 square-foot (8,000-square-meter) facility strategically located in Long Thanh. The plant produces high-quality O-Rings and custom-designed, engineered molded components in a wide range of elastomer materials, using the latest compression and injection molding technology and plate heat exchanger gaskets. 

Leak-detection company PipeSense opened the doors of testing facilities in Houston, Texas, and Clearbrook, Minnesota. The Houston facility features a 4-inch Continuous Test Loop providing options for diverse demonstrations, including the ability for clients to choose and actuate leak points. Meanwhile, the Clearbrook facility features a custom-built, 24-inch pipeline test rig to test and demonstrate PipeSense’s real-time pig-tracking technologies.  


Associations 

AMPP 

The 2024 AMPP Annual Conference + Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana, drew nearly 6,000 attendees and 382 exhibitors from the corrosion and coatings industries worldwide. Held by the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP), each year’s show represents the industry’s largest and most comprehensive event, while offering an occasion to reconnect with friends and network with industry peers. Renowned physicist Michio Kaku gave an insightful keynote presentation on AI and nanotechnology. 

Kranstuber 

The SGA announced its association leadership section recently, which is comprised of Chair Scott Kranstuber, SENSIT Technologies, Vice Chair Chris Wykle, Sensus, 2nd Vice Chair John Wilson, Entrust Solutions and Secretary Ty Samples, Mammoth Carbon. 

The American Petroleum Institute (API) and Ukraine national oil company Ukrnafta signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote the adoption of API natural gas and oil standards in Ukraine. The agreement affirms both parties’ commitment to enhancing Ukraine's energy independence and its transition away from Russian standards, equipment and operations.
