PipeLine Machinery Opens Head Office In Houston

PipeLine Machinery, the pipeline-focused worldwide Caterpillar dealer, officially opened a new headquarters building adjacent to its equipment facilities just north of Houston on February 9.

The Cypress, TX, complex features 16,000 square feet of office space and an 8800-square-foot service facility on 18 acres of land. General manager and executive vice president Tony Fernandez praised the efficiency and comfort of the new setup, noting that at the new facility, “our head office operations are housed with our equipment, which brings us all closer to our everyday business.”

The well-attended opening also functioned as a debut for PLM’s custom-built 72H pipelayer, which combines a Caterpillar Tier 4 engine and tractor base with Vanguard hydraulic engineering to fill a gap between heavy-duty and light-grade pipelayers in the Caterpillar line. The machine has a 90,000-pound lift capacity.

Several of PLM's staff pose on the new 72H pipelayer.
