Rotork Controls Inc.
New Rotork CQ pneumatic and hydraulic valve actuators are engineered to deliver a self-contained solution for applications demanding functional integrity and safety where space is limited. They incorporate a fully concentric, balanced compact design that provides reduced dimensions when compared with conventional scotch-yoke actuators. The CQ’s symmetric design is totally enclosed with a rugged, waterproof housing which contains a helical mechanism that transforms linear piston motion into 90º (+/-5º) rotation for the operation of quarter-turn valves. Output torques up to 600,000 Nm (5.3 million lbf-in) are available. Customization of the torque profile is available to suit individual valve requirements. Environmental and hazardous area certifications include IP66M/IP68M, PED, ATEX, IECEx and GOST. The actuators are also suitable for SIL3 safety related duty. www.rotork.com
Ajax TOCCO
Ajax TOCCO Magnethermic shipped a 4,500 kW, 12 pulse, Pacer II induction heating system to the L.B. Foster Coated Products pipe coating facility in Birmingham, AL. The high-speed coating plant is capable of applying Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) to 12.75 inch-24 inch pipe in lengths up to 80 feet. The new Ajax TOCCO Magnethermic system provides progressive, in-line heating of the pipe prior to application of the FBE coating and features the ability to quickly change the line’s inductors for differing pipe sizes to minimize production downtime. The L.B. Foster pipe coating facility is located on the site of American Steel Pipe. www.ajaxtocco.com
Crest Industrial Chemicals, Inc.
Crest Industrial Chemicals has been supplying specially blended chemical solutions to its clients for 30 years. In keeping with that tradition they have formulated a chloride removal product specifically for the pipe coating industry. Crest Acid Cleaner 10B is designed for use in the FBE coating process to consistently achieve chloride levels below 2 ppm, but can be used to pretreat any carbon steel surface before a coating application. Crest independently certifies each batch of Crest Acid Cleaner 10B to be low in chlorides, low in arsenic, and low in lead. This not only gives the advantage of not introducing excessive chlorides into the FBE process, but it also helps reduce cost in waste removal. Transducers Direct
Transducers Direct is offering the TDEPD electronic pressure transducer/switch that features a patented, programmable marquee display that can be set to revolve, hold at a fixed angle, or inverted for upside down installations of the sensor. All wetted parts are stainless steel, and the top-mounted connector simplifies wiring installation. The TDEPD is shock rated to 50G and accurate to within 0.5% of its maximum operating pressure of 10,000 psi (689 bar). It is fully compensated for temperature over its entire operating range of -40° F to 185° F (-40° C to 85° C). www.transducersdirect.com

John Deere
John Deere continues to upgrade its G-Series excavator lineup with the introduction of the 17G and 26G compact excavators, which incorporate a 14.5 hp (10.8 kW) and 20.0 hp (14.9 kW) Final Tier 4/ EU Stage IV diesel engine without the complexity of an after treatment system. The 26G uses the same operator’s station as its 35G brethren (open station or cab with heat only). The hinge portion of the door design was simplified to provide better visibility in the 26G. Additionally, the door width was increased by over 3 inches to allow for easier entry and exit from the cab. The new cab has a larger front window that is 2 inches wider and 6 inches taller. The 17G cab remains unchanged from the D Series model. Previous D-Series attachments will work on both the 17G and 26G, too. www.JohnDeere.com
Berntsen International
Berntsen International has been granted a U.S. patent for its magnet with an electronic marker. The marker can be placed underground and located with a portable magnetic locator while also receiving and transmitting information about the asset associated with that point. Berntsen uses the technology recognized in this patent in its InfraMarker System, which combines magnetic locating and radio frequency identification (RFID) to identify underground utility assets such as gas valves, water laterals, weld points and more. www.inframarker.com.

Churchill Drilling Tools
Churchill Drilling Tools, recently delivered the first of its new HyPR™ HoleSaver™ hydraulic pipe recovery systems to major operator in both the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. The HyPR™ HoleSaver™ consists of a full strength sub positioned in the drillstring, which is severed in about one hour. A jetting dart is launched and lands inside the sub, and after a relatively short period of pumping, the sub parts easily under a small loading, offering a perfect fish-neck or immediate side-track cementing options. Gas gathering and transmission companies have until now taken on the cost of external consultants or specialized in-house expertise for multiphase network analyses. With DNV GL’s new Multiphase Module in Synergi Gas software, users can take full control of analyses. The new Multiphase Module, for simultaneous steady-state simulation of gas, hydrocarbon liquid and water, calculates phase change and pressure loss along pipelines and gives pipeline operators a clearer understanding of liquid accumulation in the lines. Lincoln Electric
Lincoln Electric introduces the Aspect 375, a new flagship TIG welding power source for the advanced professional fabrication market. Designed to meet the most stringent quality demands of the aerospace, motorsports, shipbuilding, education and fabrication industries, the Aspect 375 is intended for use on critical welding applications subject to the most rigorous testing requirements, including X-ray analysis. This constant-current stick and TIG machine provides for a TIG output range of 2 to 375 amps (single-phase range is de-rated to 2 to 250 amps) and is rated at 330 amps at 40% duty cycle, and 300 amps at 60% duty cycle. Three design focus areas help to deliver a precise welding arc. Rohrback Cosasco
Rohrback Cosasco has launched a new NACE compliant, 6000 psi, double block and bleed service valve. The key specifications of the new double block and bleed service valve are that is lightweight at 56 pounds (25.4 kg), rated to pressures up to 6000 psi and temperatures up to 450° F/232° C dependent on the stem and seal material selected, and meets NACE MR0175 and NACE MR0103 requirements. The kit includes the valve assembly with extension lever, brass hammer, spare O-ring, and storage case for easy storage and transport. The Rohrback Cosasco double block and bleed service valve provides a lightweight, easy to use, and safe service valve for use in oil and gas refineries. www.cosasco.com
Caterpillar Marine
Edison Chouest Offshore has selected Caterpillar Marine’s Cat® Tier 4 Final C280-16 generator sets for two new vessels under construction. The project is a milestone achievement for Caterpillar Marine, marking the manufacture of the marine industry’s highest horsepower, Tier 4 solution, as well as one of the largest diesel electric propulsion (DEP) configurations the company has ever produced. Four Cat C280-16 generator sets, each rated at 5060 bkW at 900 rpm will power each vessel.
