Poirier
Poirier

François Poirier was named president and CEO of TC Energy Corporation, succeeding Russ Girling, who retired. Poirier joined the company in 2014 as president, Energy East Pipeline, and most recently served as chief operating officer and president, Power & Storage, leading the acquisition of the Columbia Pipeline Group in 2016. He previously led the Mexico business unit as well as TC Energy’s Risk Management, Strategy and Corporate Development efforts. Before joining TC Energy, Mr. Poirier spent 25 years in investment banking, consulting and as a corporate director. 

Energy Transfer has promoted Bradford D. (Brad) Whitehurst to chief financial officer. Whitehurst brings 20 years of experience to the position, serving most recently as executive vice president and head of Tax for the Dallas-based midstream company. Prior to joining Energy Transfer in 2014, Whitehurst was a partner in the Washington office of Bingham McCutchen, where he specialized in partnership taxation. He was also an attorney at the Washington law firms McKee Nelson and Hogan & Hartson.

Williams announced that its board of directors has appointed Stacey Doré as an independent director on the Board. Doré, who brings 23 years of experience in energy and law, currently serves as CEO of Sharyland Utilities, an electric utility that owns and develops transmission infrastructure assets in Texas. She will serve as a member of the Williams board’s Governance and Sustainability committee and Audit committee. 

Beckwith

Halliburton Company named Van H. Beckwith executive vice president, secretary and chief legal officer. Beckwith succeeds Robb Voyles who is stepping down after seven years with the Company. With this new role, Beckwith joins the Halliburton executive committee and assumes leadership of the company’s Law, Global Communications & Marketing and Government Affairs departments.

Subsea construction specialist Ashtead Technology has appointed Ingrid Stewart as chief financial officer and announced managers for five newly created roles across its international team. Stewart brings 23 years of corporate finance experience, including eight years with EnerMech Group as corporate development director. She was previously at Simmons & Company International, serving as its first female corporate finance director.  

Ashtead appointed Lili Hughes as group QHSE manager, Stephen Booth as decommissioning BD manager and Michael Gibson as asset integrity project manager. In addition, Mark Vela has joined as U.S. operations manager in Houston, and Dan Davies has taken up his new role as NDT market manager within the company’s inspection solutions team in Bedfordshire, England.

EnCap Flatrock Midstream (EFM) has promoted Matthew Melton and Kyle Stelma to vice president at the venture capital firm, where they support all finance, administrative and accounting functions of EFM’s funds and portfolio companies. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2017, Melton was an investment banking associate in the Global Energy Group at Citigroup in Houston. Stelma, who also joined the firm in 2017, previously served as an analyst in the Energy Investment Banking Group at Jefferies LLC in Houston. 

Consolidated Edison’s board of directors has elected Timothy Cawley as president and CEO. In his new role, Cawley also will serve as CEO of Con Edison’s principal subsidiary, Consolidated Edison Company of New York. John McAvoy, who retired as president and CEO, will remain chairman of the board. Matt Ketschke was promoted to president of Consolidated Edison of New York, from senior vice president of Customer Energy Solutions.

EnerMech has named Steven Muir to the newly created post of IT director. Muir brings more than 25 years of experience in leading IT strategy and delivering change and transformation projects and global integrations. He previously was director of Group Technology & Operations and IT business partner for the UK, ME and APAC regions at Stork. 

PG&E Corp. appointed Chris Foster, vice president of Treasury and Investor Relations, as interim chief financial officer, replacing Jason Wells, who joined CenterPoint Energy as executive vice president and CFO. 

Fortis Inc. named David Hutchens as president and CEO, succeeding Barry Perry, who retired. Hutchens previously was chief operating officer of Fortis and CEO of UNS Energy. Susan Gray was named CEO of UNS Energy and its subsidiaries.  

Thermoplastic fluid flow and air handling solutions company Asahi/America named Shane McDaniel as business development manager for actuation products. Based in Houston, McDaniel brings experience ranging from instrument and controls technician to outside sales and aftermarket sales and service. 

Lynette Dowler was named vice president of Public Affairs at DTE Energy and president of the DTE Foundation. She succeeds Nancy Moody, who retired after 32 years of service with DTE. 

Algonquin Power & Utilities named Arthur Kacprzak chief financial officer following the retirement of CEO David Bronicheski
