NevadaNano added the Molecular Property Spectrometer (MPS) technology to its Ultra1000 Series Fixed Gas Sensors. The MPS sensor’s environmental robustness has proven to be the most stable hydrocarbon sensor in the world’s hottest and most humid environments, such as the gulf region in the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates (UAE). The sensor accomplishes this with the built-in environmental compensation for temperature, pressure and humidity. Additionally, it eliminates the concern of false-positive alarms due to sensor drift. With MPS technology, the PemTech Ultra1000 series of fixed gas sensors meet PemTech’s customers’ precise requirements and deliver unprecedented value. 

TSC Subsea  

TSC Subsea designed a new remotely operated vehicle (ROV)-deployed automated scanning tool to address the issue of carrying out tight access field joint inspection through difficult-to-penetrate pipeline coating. The Artemis vCompact, a smaller, lightweight, more-flexible version of the standard Artemis, was designed, developed and built by TSC Subsea’s engineers to work in tandem with inspection-class ROV for the remote inspection of pipelines and structures. Strong magnetic feet fix the scanner firmly in position. The ROV then detaches and stands off, negating the need for it to hold station accurately for long periods of time. The tooling utilizes motorized and encoded manipulators that enable the probe to accurately follow the areas to be inspected. Inspection data are transferred to a topside computer, and the data can be analyzed from anywhere in the world.  


Pressure and temperature calibration equipment company Ralston Instruments released the Field Gauge LC20 line of pressure gauges. The gauge is a follow-up to the LC10 line and increases accuracy, along with enhanced customization options. With ±0.1% full-scale accuracy, the LC20 is ideal for use as a calibration reference. It maintains its accuracy across a wide pressure and temperature range, eliminating the need to carry multiple conventional gauges. The LC20 offers a wireless option, which allows monitoring of remote tests and includes FieldLab desktop software. The device is available in 11 pressure ranges, from 5 psi/35 kPa to 10,000 psi/70 MPa, and includes a compound vacuum/pressure gauge from ±15 psi and a digital vacuum gauge measuring up to 30 in Hg/760 mbar.  

B&K Vibro  

B&K Vibro released versions of the Vibro Conditioning Monitoring (VCM-3) system and Setpoint CMS software. VCM-3 provides a simple, yet scalable solution for detecting faults within rotating machinery. The device provides simple-to-deploy condition monitoring, using descriptor technology built on decades of expertise. As an optimal condition monitoring solution, it helps turn vibration into real business value. The upgraded Setpoint CMS now connects with VCM-3 as an integrated system, providing a fully scalable condition monitoring system to cover a broad range of assets – from critical gas turbines to essential pumps, fans and gearboxes. With native connection to the OSISoft PI System, users can now connect to either VC-8000 or VCM-3 hardware.  


Denso North America launched the Denso Bore-Wrap, an abrasion-resistant outer-wrap (ARO) that helps to withstand impact, gouge, abrasion and fracture. Bore-Wrap creates a sacrificial outer laminate layer that protects both pre-approved field joint coatings and mainline coatings (such as liquid epoxy coatings, three-layer polyethylene [3LPE], three-layer polypropylene [3LPP] and fusion-bonded epoxy [FBE] coatings) from damage during pipeline installations, in difficult terrain or by means of trenchless installation methods, such as directional drilling, horizontal direction drilling (HDD) or boring. The product is easily applied in the field because no mixing is required; it is simply wrapped over the existing pipeline coating and cured with water. Because of its flexibility and exceptional level of mechanical protection, Bore-Wrap minimizes the need for spot repairs or re-pulling pipe from damage.  


Siemens is offering the Simotics SD200 severe-duty motor in frame size 440. Providing high productivity and energy-efficient operation in all torque ranges, these new cast-iron National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) motors are built to power pumps, fans, compressors, hoists, winders and similar equipment in harsh environments. With a three-year warranty, the SD200 motors offer 75- to 800-horsepower output and feature 444-5013 cast-iron frames for operation in the 460-volt and 575-volt range. They meet or exceed NEMA Premium MG1 Table 12-12 efficiencies. A wide selection of options is offered, including IP56 ingress protection, encoders, brakes and blowers, plus others to suit the applications presented. Each die-cast aluminum rotor assembly is dynamically balanced for extended bearing life and includes a high-strength C1045 carbon steel shaft for maximum performance. Premium C5-grade steel laminations and copper magnet wire are standard.
