Oil and Gas engineering consultants Xodus Group earned the Silver Corporate Partner Award presented by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). The company received the recognition for its commitment to supporting engineers’ professional development and advocating the profession to students through various outreach activities.
Automation Technology, LLC completed a $1.3 million capital investment, expanding valve actuation/controls production and assembly capabilities at its Houston area manufacturing facility. The internal expansion increased the overall production throughput and established dedicated assembly cells for ATI’s direct gas motor and electro-hydraulic power unit (HPU) product lines.
Epic Midstream Holdings successfully closed its first open season on the Epic Crude Oil Pipeline and has executed definitive agreements to add Diamondback Energy as a strategic partner. Diamondback will have 50,000 bpd of capacity on the Epic Crude Oil Pipeline, via its subsidiary Rattler Midstream and will also have an option to acquire up to 5% of the equity in the Epic Crude Oil Pipeline, with the option expiring in the first quarter of 2019.
Xedia Process Solutions has been acquired by Blackbuck Resources, LLC, a newly formed midstream water solutions firm focused on the Permian Basin. Blackbuck will be led primarily by the prior XPS management team and supported by an equity commitment from Cresta Energy Capital.
Bacharach, Inc., a provider of HVAC-R gas instrumentation, acquired Neutronics Inc., which produces refrigerant and gas analyzers. Neutronics’ technologies serve the automotive and commercial HVAC markets, and provide high-purity oxygen analyzers to the semi-conductor industry, and self-contained breathing units to the safety and rescue industry. Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
EnLink Midstream launched a binding open season for volume commitments for common carrier transportation service on its recently announced Avenger Crude Oil Gathering System in the Northern Delaware Basin. Avenger will include origin points in Lea and Eddy counties in New Mexico and destination points in Eddy County, New Mexico, and Loving County, Texas.
Energy Web Atlas Launches World Pipeline Dataset
Gulf Energy Information announced the introduction of the World Pipeline layer to the Energy Web Atlas (EWA). The dataset adds global coverage of existing and planned pipelines, as well as projects under construction, providing the project data and key contacts that business development teams need.
The web-based platform also tracks liquified natural gas facilities/projects, gas processing infrastructure and renewable energy developments.
“The World Pipeline dataset is based upon research that Pipeline & Gas Journal and Petroleum Economist, our sister publications, have been collecting for more than 100 years,” said Scott Allgood, Director of Data Services, Gulf Energy Information. “The integration of the pipeline data into EWA provides more in-depth information that is maintained in real time by experienced research teams and available in a more user-friendly, interactive package.”
EWA, an ESRI-based GIS platform, tracks detailed data – including operators, shareholders, pipeline route, and pipeline specifications – for more than 3,670 natural gas pipelines globally.
Users can import their own data for integrated project analysis, while EWA’s rich dataset allows review at any level of detail, from regional pipeline activity to detailed data on a single project.
